The herd has stopped to graze and found joyful musicality in carioca steps. Thanks to the participation of over 50 new bison artists and collaborators; we have built a great program together, integrating all differences in an exhibition to remember. Our gratitude to all involved for all good work and openess to participate in this Social Sculpture: none of us knew what was to come! Even though we gave our best and worked towards a common goal. The result you can find in the gallery:
Bison Caravan is a social sculpture in which a group of art works representing the image of the bison, travel the world. Where the herd stops to graze, an exhibition with festival will take place in which local artists and musicians are invited to join the herd by donating a work of art that represents or relates to the bison.
Conceptualized by Hilarius Hostede (1965 NL), Bison Caravan combines the spirit of art and music, life and nature in an unpredictable, timeless trail where artworks united by spirit, caravaneer through the different continents of our world, unifying, but at the same time defying borders and separations created over the history of time.
